Hi,I have the cheap ebay green noname chinese board with ta2024.
my question is about the chip itself though : I would like to use the 2 stereo channels but each with the same input signal : dual mono I think is the word. in fact its left input and right input (signal positives) would be linked by a wire (coming from a sub out LPF filtered line signal from hometheater processor). each output side would be to a different basspeaker (two 10" each) .
Can you CONFIRM it is totally safe mode operation for the chip ?
thanks a lot for quick reply.

You can't just join the left and right channel. You'd have to do this:
Don't know any downsides of making a mono signal like this (if there are any) but I never heard it.

Ok I do not know the exact point of these 10K resistors in the schematic, but thanks a lot still.
In my case coming from a single subwoofer rca terminal (so mono source) I think I can probably simply make my wire link at the input as I intended so as to make use of both channels of the ta2024 chipamp (with the same signal). making it dual mono (signals joined at the input) coming from a single rca cable.
Can I ?
Thanks again

I don't quite get your scenario. Signals can be split, not be joined. The TA2024 doesn't care if both channels are the same singal (ie mono). Hope that helps 🙂
Thanks a lot. What I want tout do is the principle of a Y cable ( from a mono sub signal to 2 inputs of a stéréo chipamp). I think I will try I do not see any problem.
I use this setup every day on my amp test rig.
I simply just joined the two channels together without resistors and it works fine from my mp3 player.
I guess strictly speaking you should use something like 1k resistors in series with each.
