Hello,
For the past months I've been designing a pcb for the well known tripath ta2020. I added a opamp to get a headphone output. However I would like to mute the ta2020 when I insert the headphones into the jack.
According to the datasheet I need to drive the mute/sleep pin high to mute the amp. What would be the easiest way to incorporate jack sensing into my design?

MCM carries a 3,5mm pc mount stereo jack with a switch. Part # is 27-5540, no idea if MCM sells in Europe. I have seen others like that, but I can not recall where. Alternately, build an optocoupler that gets interupted by the plug when inserted. E
