Hey Group,
Does anybody know what the startup current the T30001 requires.
I want to limit my power supply current but it is up to 6 amps to start and I'm not sure if more current is required.
Also, can the supply be powered separately from the amplifier and does it require loads to operate normally?
Thanks
Jim

The supply can operate without the audio board. There can be issues with the regulator circuit so after it's powered up, make sure that the DC voltage across the red and blue wires isn't greater than the DC rating of the rail caps.
You can check the drive signals by only using remote and ground.

I am getting squealing but the power supply is set to limit current to 6 amps. How many amps should I deliver to get it to start without risking shorting MOSFETS?
Did you try checking the drive signals without B+ connected?
I don't use the current limiter on the supply. I always use a series current limiting resistor.
If you clamp the FETs, and watch the current draw, ready to power down (immediately), you probably don't have to be concerned unless you're operating from a 100 amp supply or a battery.
Check the drive signals without B+ first.
