Downsizing house so time to downsize toys. T/T motor pod & separate Power supply. Unit can be easily upgraded by using 14 VDC SLA battery, exactly as VPI does. Motor is capable of driving a sub plater like that used on the Rga T/T to a 14'' platter periphery. Has fine adjustment via potentiometer screw in the P/S. Using with a 12'' platter it allows for either 33 or 45 RPM to be dialed in. Various belts could be used, from a standard rubber belt, a string belt as used by WTA, or as I use a Mylar belt which gives the best performance. Motor pod as adjustable feet which allow various T/T platter heights to be accommodated. Previous this I used an Original Live unit, but this motor is much better, now I have upgraded again to a Maxon DCX 22mm motor & controller as used by Kronos on their high end T/T's

Unit is working well, the motor is definitely quieter the the O/L one.

Using this unit with a Lenco, it certainly is much, much quieter that the old Lenco 78 motor, especially as my MC cart is very low output at 0.2mv. Lots of Hum with the Lenco, quiet as a mouse with the DC motor.

The AC motor on my Thorens TD125 crapped out so I switched to this DC motor unit. Well what an improvement I am amazed that a motor switch could do that, like upgrading my cart to one twice as expensive. Best thing is it is about ½ the price of the O/L unit people normally use. Temaad suggested I notch out two grooved in my perspex cover so I can still play my LP with the cover down, which is my preference.

A while ago my Technics motor started wavering all over the place, my tech quoted me around a $1000 to fix!! The I saw this conversion on the A/K site, now my SP25 is playing beautiful music again, Thanks
