Just recieved this amp from PE it is to replace a Sony 2020 mini auto 12v amp I had running in a small traincase hooked to 2 4" coaxials. Hooked it up last night and fired it up it runs great I can't really complain. Sound is good the only issue I have with it is since there is no gain controls I dont feel my phone (what I intend to use it with mostly) quite drives it hard enough. It gets quite loud but not near as loud as the amp it replaced and I can push it with everything my phone has to give it and it doesn't clip or distort. So what I want to know is anyone familiar with this little amp? Is there a way to alter the input gain to get the most out of its potiential. if I need to I can take some close ups of the board and maybe post a few images. Other than that one issue I think this little amp is amazing. Hard to believe something so small puts out what it does. Thanks

Change the input resistors for ones half the value (10K) or piggy-back an extra 20K on top of each. It'll be the same result, and will increase gain by 6dB. Since it's quite small SMD resistors this can be a little tricky.

If you don't feel like trying your hand at this and you don't know anyone that might be able to do it, e.g. one that has hacked an xbox or similar then your other option is to buy a headphone preamp like a FIIO.
