System with budget

Looking for a 10" sub, good amp, box i can build myself, wires, and LOC for around $300. what's a decent combination of things?

What is the associated equipment you will be using with the sub?

In that case the Alpine type R and JBL GTO series are the biggest bang for the buck IMO.
