Just making this post to double check and see if anyone's had any success with a SyncMaster 150N? (before I jump in blind and take this sucker apart =O) I seen alot of the 152's being used, I hope the 150's are built almost the same.

Well, the SyncMaster was indeed taken apart, and it turns out that this model's cable is too short to have the electronics flap out on the outside. So I made the best of this and decided to use it anyways, I simply adjusted the panel accordingly on my OHP and only use the lower 2/3 of the screen. I'm cool with that as this is my first projection, 25ms response time is a little annoying, and the fresnel on my OHP is a tad warped and blurry (I'm currently looking for online OHP fresnel suppliers to change it).
All in all.......very satisfied with my end result =)

So the little ffc (flat flex cable), the brown/orange one in the corner is the one holding you back?
if you give these guys a detailed pic of it or the relevant info (number of connectors and distance between them I would suppose) there may be extensions available for it.

btw. be so damn careful with that thing... if you look at it the wrong way it will snap/crack and the way its soldered to that bottom board means major headf@#k if you do

I hope I can find one that fits....I have no idea the distance between contacts, I wouldn't even know where to start to measure em.....I assume a special tool is used?
All i know is there are 20 contacts on it....maybe i'll just order one of those and hope for the best.
btw....I hate that ribbon with a passion...it is quite fragile....I break into a cold sweat every time I need to move it =P
