symmetrically enclosure subwoofer

Hello all you DIYers!

I'm here to tell you about a build in progress, just for the record because it's almost finished.

It's a balanced subwoofer with a Davis Acoustics 17CSA driver, used in our industry, particularly in the automotive sector, especially in the low-midrange range.

Here's the driver:

I made some plans of the enclosure with an application as I wanted to model it :

After some thought about the pressure and depression transitions of the speaker's low-frequency output, I decided to revise my design and, in particular, change the placement of the 4th bandpass driver and also reduce the length and number of ports to just one.

Here's the setup:

so, the bass speaker is loaded from below for the finishing of the cabinet, after that I moved on to the assembly of the on-board electronics with the mono amplifier, the filters, the power supply, the modulation, the wiring and the potentiometers as well as the switch:

I still have to completely seal the box and the speaker, add damping material, glue the vent and finish it so that it looks good.

I tried it and I think it already has good potential!

Sincerely !

Laurent

Hello everyone!

I agree, the finishing touches aren't quite finished.
I'm going to do everything I can to make a nice, clean cabinet because for now it's a split wood version! 😅

Have a nice day! 😉
