Those VFETs are good. I am using them in my Amnesis-VFET amp, as cascodying elements for the BJT outputs, alike in the SONY TA-N7 legendary amp.

That Yamaha-like biasing circuit is interesting, but chances are that you get non matched VFET pairs, in which case you might need some variable resistor somewhere to achieve low offset V out, I imagine.

In my case, the GSV is set automatically given the bias current chosen: for 108mA and for the pairs I purchased one (N?) set at 12V and the other (P?) set at 10,5V or so, which for the cascoded circuit does not make any problem but probably will need action in that circuit. Am I right?
