Since its fairly relevant I should just check, can I use it at +/-30V? With the obvious reduction in power (30-40W instead of 60 into 8ohm?) No stability issue or otherwise unusual behaviour if I drop the supply voltage this little bit (its so I can use it from a regulated supply of that voltage)?
problem with noise
hi, i made sysasim5_3 amp. i am having one problem. when i power my amp without any audio input connection, it' makes some type of sound like chiiiii or chi...chi...if i connect cd-player to the power amp input there is no noise. what can i do? only this poblem having when i place the amp into the amp casing.

Is the amps casing earthed (assuming its metal)? And is the earth joined to circuit ground (direct or via a safety loop breaker)? I get an increase in hissing with the symasym with the input left unconnected, I got it with the P101 too, no unusual noises on either though. Symasym seems quite sensitive to input noise, if I short the input and place it within a few inches of the bridge rectifier a buzzing becomes audible, be careful with the internal layout!
