"For the capacitors, I would rather see the board changed to accept some of the taller 4 or 5 pin capacitors. This would allow the use of 63 volt parts without a reduction in capacitance. In fact the capacitance could be raised above 22,000uF if desired."

I'm on the road, so this won't happen for a few days. I have the PCB outline pattern for the 4 way Panasonic caps, so could add it.

Let's do this: Including you, me, Fab, Pinnochio, we have enough to order as a small number at a prototype discount. Why don't you try to take a count, and I will order whatever number we come up with, on Monday. Last time it seemed that the numbers overlapped a bit between you three.

Over the weekend I will check the Gerbers, and get the package ready to go. I don't have much time until then...

If I send the order in early Monday, chances are fair it will ship a week later. If I wait until Tuesday, it may be two weeks...🙄

Has anyone checked the latest documentation? (I have not done that)

Hi PMI,

The count is as follows:
Fab: 2 stereo sets - amp only
Pinnocchio: 1 stereo set
Royber: 3 stereo sets

The documentation has been extensively updated very recently, October 2013 at this link Ovation nx-Amplifier: A 100 W class AB Current Feedback Amplifier

So, overall, for us three canucks, we'd like to get 6 stereo sets. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what Fab means by the amp only comment but I'm sure you understand it.

Hi,

Yes, it seems that Bill_P has gone through the file. There were mistakes corrected by both him and Bonsai.

By the way, I saw what Fab meant by the amp only. Will you be doing the power supply also? If so, I would like that in my kits. I think that Pinnocchio may as well.

Latest nx-Amp mini order

Including joshvi, I make it:

Fab: 2 sets
Pinnocchio: 1 set + 1 PSU
Royber: 3 sets + 3 PSU
PMI: 1 set
joshvi: 2 sets
----------------
Total: 9 stereo sets plus the 4 PSU boards already on hand
(Payment requests have been sent out by pm)

Hi PMI

It Will be only one stereo set for me after all. I have the original Bonsai version singing so I only need another set to complete the MOSFET output version and compare the 2 . I did the same with the Hiraga Super class A.

OK, it is 8 sets! If I get payments by Friday, I may get the order in by the end of the week. I think I have time to look at the Gerbers tomorrow night, and they will be ready to go.

Is there any change from the previous version ( I mean layout or parts)?
Or is it only the silkscreen?

I could not have Bonsai to include an easy way to modify the temperature compensation of the VBE multiplier for the MOSFET output I intend to use.... I will have to be creative to find a way with this pcb...🙄

I have no way to compare the gerbers in detail without a lot of manual work, so Bonsai has to answer that one. I believe there have been minor changes to the BOM, and a few corrections, see posts above.
