Just finished some real wood cases for the SX-780 and SX-880 Receiver's. Figured mahogany was beautiful. took me a lot of time to get these right.
Corrected all measurements that were not close at all from factory. Used 3/4 thick sides for a bolder look.

Very nice work. I had one of those "back in the day", but traded it to my younger brother in exchange for baby sitting time. In retrospect, he made out like a bandit...lol.
Wow.. I wish I had one of these to replace mine, my lid has fallen apart, its all light brown with no finish left!
looks great, I have a Sx-780 and Sx-3700 both being upgraded to 20k equipment with tube preamp and transconductance outputs and tuner / phono stage enhancements.
Sx-780 now puts out 75w RMS due to recapping and mosfet outputs as well as internal regulator voltage boost to 44v

I would like to know/see how you managed to
i have managed to put a sx-1050 p/s in a sansui G-7500 with LME49830 & semelab dual die mosfets, i measured 120W/ch in that setup. it sounds wonderful"Sx-780 now puts out 75w RMS due to recapping and mosfet outputs as well as internal regulator voltage boost to 44v"
