Switchable Hi-Z input impedance, how ?

finally someone noticed it 😀
I didn't know when I found it, and thougt it was just a weird worthless component
until I searched, and found its very rare, and 'wanted' for classic distortion sound

could be fun to try it, but would be a shame to destroy it
and I don't know much about it at all

why would you want it ?

I searched again where i found it, but ofcourse only this one

there is also a SFT 320
also old transistor
do you anything about that one ?

Another Ge, PNP transistor..have not seen much on it. Pretty rare I imagine.

For OC44 you can build up a nice little vintage fuzz

looks similar to what I have seen mentioned as Rangemaster ?

noticed the lowish input impedance....if you can call 68K lowish ?
I suppose it will need a high-z buffer ?
any idea about output impedance ?

btw, I have noticed that the jfet 2sk170 gives a nice soft gnarly sound too, when overdriven or 'starved'(not sure what) 😀

I have a bunch of J201 and 2N5457 , trying out on my guitar preamp. 2SK170 look good for that too. Biased a bit hot or cold will give slight differences pushing into saturation or cutoff.

hey, I found a few older Motorola 2N2369
supposedly also a good one for making fuzz pedal
I will give them a try

I have no interest in 9V battery drive, but will have a regulated supply with higher voltage
