Switch between two speaker sets

Hi everyone,

I've recently bought a pair of monitor speakers (Adam Audio F5) but I also would like to do check outs on hi-fi speakers I used to use (some Creative 2.1 set, small satellites and subwoofer with built in amplifier). In order to achieve that I wanna build some kind of speaker switch based on:

- 2 x input jack sockets 6.4
- 2 x output jack sockets 6.4 (monitors)
- 1 x output jack socket 3.5 (2.1 set)
- 1 x output jack socket 3.5 (headphones)
- three-position 9-pin switch
- plastic case

Nevertheless, I'm wondering whether that simple construction is appropriate enough for safe switching... Could you please advice me if these components are enough for switching without risking damaging sth or it does require extra parts (resistors etc.)?

Also, what about the impedance of all the speakers, is it have to be adjusted in some way? Have in mind that input signal will go straight from my audio interface (Steinberg UR22, 150 Ohm output imp. as specs say) not some kind of amplifier.

Thank you in advance for your help 🙂

Regards,
Martin
