Do you think than 8W will be enough
Hello “Icare”,
I like to know, have you, in the mean time, already build this SE SV572-10 amp.?
And… what are the results?
Dogie
I have five BRAND NEW SV811-10 tubes in their boxes. I doubt whether I'll use them, so I'm ready to either sell them or exchange for 300b or 2a3 tubes. By all means email me and we can discuss things on an open basis - other swaps considered. Andy
SE SV572-10
The SV572-10 in steat of the SV811-10
Regarding SE-output:
#1. 1 SV811-10 is about 2 2A3 in PSE
#2. 1 SV572-10 is about 1 300B in SE
Summary:
# I: prefer SE above PSE
# 2: A 300B is more expensive than a SV572-10. Tonal, the 300B is superior, but a SV572-10 is not bad dht (with Ra 6K).
Most of the speakers prefer 10 Watts ore more; with a Ub of 500V. and higher , the SV572-10 delivers more than 10W., and has so some benefits regarding the 300B.
And the 6EM7/6EA7 is a very good driver/input-stage.
