Does anyone have a guide to calculating equivalent T/S parameters for modeling DVC drivers?
Some datasheets annoyingly only list the parameters for one coil...
Looking for something like the following:
Parameter 1 Voicecoil ParConfig SerConfig
BL 1 2 2
Re 1 0.5 2
Le 1 0.5 2
Vas 1 ? ?
etc...
any help much appreciated!

I think the norm for DVC driver specs is for both voice coils in parallel. So if you only see a single set of specs it would be safe to assume it is for parallel voice coils. You can usually tell by the Re value given.
hmmm.... are you sure? check out this pdf and tell me what you think... seems weird that they'd specifially show 2x Re and nothing such on all other specs...

2 x 4 ohms just means both VCs are nominally 4 ohms. Anyway, below the specs it clearly states that the VCs were wired in parallel (nom. 2 ohm) for T/S measurements.

thanks! though that chart is not quite right either - voltage sensitivity with series config is NOT the same as with one coil...
makes one wonder about accuracy of the rest.

eheheheee... so i suppose this thread is a good example of how to make a fool of oneself ... my grade-school teachers always said i was unusually prone to thoughtless error 😉
my reasoning neglected the additional EM force generated by the coil, excuse me.
thanks.. now after thoughtfully checking your pdf, i think its fair to say that the coils in parallel should have an Le of 1mH instead of 2mH, correct?
