Hi everyone.
I try to locate a good and budgetary set of 5.1 speakers for a small cinema hall (size 140 sq.m = 1506 sq.feets).
It will be used occasionally for speech.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Maybe something from here would suit?

Does it have to be 5.1?
IMO, surround systems are pretty much useless unless you're in a small space centred between all the speakers. Conventional stereo would get you higher-quality sound that everyone would enjoy.

Very interesting speakers and built with well known and (I think?) PA drivers.
It's something that I thought.
The problem is that all speakers (except sub) should be wall-mounted.
Thanks anyway.

Not necessary, 5 full-wave + 1 sub can do the job.
The hall is 14m L X 10m W, so I think with proper installation of the 4 side speakers I could obtain the effects by 80%.
If I had the time, I could build custom speakers with my preferable drivers. From memory, Peerless Pro drivers were something between PA and HiFi due to their foam suspension.
Regarding the rest, I could also build a custom 6 channel power amplifier with e.g. 6 ICE Power ASX modules (class D with integrated SMPS), driven by a surround decoder.
Sadly there is no time. I should select something from the shelf.
Thanks for the info.
PS
I looked in your site, very nice topics.
