Just now I asked Google to find websites relevant to "the diyaudio store" . Google returned a business in Sheridan, Wyoming, called DIYAUDIO LLC. With photograph and street map. I'm amazed.

Try it yourself, it's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3

I simply cannot open the normal DIYaudio 'store' - using both Safari and Opera I am told that there is not a secure connection.

HOWEVER on one link on DIYaudio to the store to find a board and some bits I was taken to the site given by Mark J above !!!!!

Seems there IS a security issue.

Looks like an out of state business registration address. I have one for Washington State. No idea why some states require you to have an in state representative address to do business there. I think it only applies to incorporated folks.

FYI the California Bureau of Equalization is a real tiger of enforcement. Actually checks on why a business registered to do business in California from out of state isn’t paying taxes. I do have a California contractor’s license but rarely work in the state. The license is useful as it is considered the toughest to get and so honored by being accepted by most other states that require licenses.

That seems to be "our" store, under a flag of convenience. (Like all big ships are registered in Liberia.)

That same Gould St building has been mentioned for online scam/fraud, but it is obviously an office with thousands (>53,267!) of clients, a specialist in business regulation in the fine state of Wyoming.

A friend was also told that Wyoming is good for incorporation so I looked-up the address. Looks like this:

The building is just over 50 feet deep, so there are a thousand registered corporations per foot (IOW: each corporation is 0.286mm thick).

Ah, they claim two floors. (Wonder where? Dank cellar?) They also do mail-forwarding.

They seem proud of the historic old printshop building: https://www.wyomingcorporateoffice.com/floor-plan

It is right where a printshop should be. One street off of Main, next to the (now) eye-doctor, mini-mega-bank annex, across from mini-mega-bank HQ and the Post Office. It appears the city electric mains brush the rear of the building, great for printing in 1916.

As long as DIY Audio Forum does not register its name as a Brand or Corporation, it´s up for grabs, first come, first served.

And a Lawyer office registering hundreds or thousands of Corporations at their own address is very common too.

I think Delaware is very popular for that.
