I'm hoping to bi-amp some speakers (bass is 6 Ohms, 40-200Hz, satellite, 8 Ohms, 200-20,000Hz), using a PLLXO into a Sure TK2050 4x100 Amp.
Given that this is the first time I'm putting together a system, I'm a little overwhelmed & had a couple questions:
1) Calculating the values for a PLLXO (can't afford an active x-over):
I understand first order PLLXO's are easier on the line level. The line level I have is pretty hot though, so if a second order is preferable, I could do it.
I'm getting these values for the x-over (x-over of 200Hz):
Lowpass: R1=10k, C1=80nf
Highpass: R2=18k, C1=116nf
2) I'm embarrassed to ask, but on the TK2050 4x100, where do I put in the volume pot?
And given that I'm bi-amping speakers with different impedances (6Ohm/ 8Ohm), where's a good place to put in the pot to balance the output (before or after the amp?)
Thanks
