Hi DIY
First post here, just trying to make sense of things. I'm building a battery/solar powered mobile soundsystem, and I'm looking for an update from my current STA508 amp.
I tried looking at some of Sure's other models and found the IRS2092 and TAS5613 which seems suitable.
Our battery bank is roughly around 500-600 AH and 225W solarcells. Our speaker setup conists of 2 x fullrange PAs and 2 x Cubo 15 subs.
All crossovers are made with a miniDSP. The amps need to play for approx. 8 hours a day.
1. Will one of these amps suit a mobile soundsystem?
2. Does the amps work out of the box or do they need external cooling etc.?
3. How is the power consumption on each of the amps?
4. Can I simply use a 12V -> 24V/56V boost module as I've done with my STA508?
Thanks in advance!

You could look into car audio amps. Some are rubbish, some are great; I've heard good stuff about Pioneers and Alpines. Those have fancy knobs for fancy features and are pretty efficient.
