I'm not in a position to judge right or wrong, but I saw somewhere that KLF's iconic album "The white room" can be used to evaluate dynamics.

If any of the above are playing loud and someone who doesn't live here wanders in the house (this doesn't happen any more because of COVID :-() they often ask if a band is practicing. That's how I know it sound right!
