My amplifier stopped working out of nowhere and i cant figure out the problem. The clip light is always on, the protect light is flashing, and when the protect light has flashed 10 times, the power light turns on for a second, then it all starts over. i cant figure out the problem. i would be very glad if anyone has an idea of what it could be. i checked the obvious things like ground etc. The amp is a swedish amp called basshabit 600.1. Class D amplifier. I have never seen this issue before. Any speculations at all would be very helpful. Thanks
Does the owner's manual give LED flash codes for troubleshooting?
Generally, shorted output transistors are the most common failure.

nope no codes. which ones are the output transistors? theres 8, and 4 of them share the same number. then there is two pairs that share the same number
I know nothing about that make/model. If no one else can help, post a good quality photo of the component side of the entire main board and the component side of any driver boards.
Good enough for now.
Check the transistors that are marked H8. You should not read anything near 0 ohms between any of the legs of any individual transistor.
This isn't Swedish. It's Brazilian amp or a chinese clone of a Brazilian amp.

Its a Swedish brand at least, but probably is chinese made. Anyways, So i should get far from 0 ohms in the h8 transitors?
I have now checked. The H8 ones have 0 ohms between leg 1 and 2. And the pair next to them have 0 ohms between leg 1 and 3. All the H1 ones is good. Should i try replacing the ones with 0 ohms?
Pull the two H8s and then check their gate resistors to confirm that they're within tolerance.
What is their marked value.
There is a chance that the driver ICs have been damaged.
Are the four large SMD transistors between the driver IC and the output transistors being used as drivers?

Where is the gate resistors located? I do not know the marked value, where do i find it? How do i know if the IC has been damaged? And how do i check if the smd transistors are being used as drivers? I do not know very much about circuit boards
One thing at a time.
The gate resistors are connected to the gate legs of the H8 output transistors.
The markings are printed on top of the resistors.

I don't have a definitive answer for the true part number. Someone here will likely have the number or a confirmed good substitute.
What is the voltage rating on the rail caps?
What is the part number on the output driver IC?

Do you read 0 ohms between the source leg of either output transistor and the main ground terminal?
