Hi all, this is my first post on the forum!
I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for input/output transformers for a summing amp? I'm doing up a SM-Pro Audio summing amp I got 2nd hand, and am willing to change just about any part of it.
I don't mind spending a fair bit on the Output transformers, thinking maybe Carnhill CA-18-VTB1148, but I'd like to keep the input transformer cost down, seeing as I'll need 8 of them! I've heard Edcor transformers are pretty good for the money, and commonly used in mods, wondering if anybody could recommend one?
Thanks in advance!
Scott

Sorry, what is a summing amp?
What does it do?
Not familiar with the term...
and, anyhow, what is wrong with the transformers in the unit now?

That's the type. The one i've got a hold of is a much cheaper version, SM Pro Audio ? PM8 ?

Hi. I am also New to this Board but just ordered a Lawo DV975 summing Card with Haufe transformers. Don't take it too serious what i suggest as i am also new to the DIY hobby, but maybe it helps for your research.
I had a look at the SSA 2B link.
I think they are selling a normal two channel amplifier with a summing/mixer circuit on the input/s.
i.e. an inverting channel with 5 input resistors to link up 5 sources.
