In the Adcom GFP-750, the 2SC4793 is used in the high voltage supply regulator circuit (+-60V).
The only part I come up with as a suitable replacement, despite it being a 30mHz part compared to 100mHz in the c4973, is the MJE15032.
Does anyone have any more up to date or better suggested replacement for this application? I'm not sure the speed is an issue for its use in the regulator circuit.

I think you should be fine with a MJE15032.
MJE340 is too small, if the original is in a TO-220 package, stick with that.

I would be concerned about it having half the Ic and a different package than the original, but thank you for your reply.
