my electronics teacher just gave me a non working subwoofer today, an infinity BU-120. it looks to be not bad. the amp was blown so i tore it out, and covered the back hole with a piece of plexi and sealed it with some bathroom sealer i had laying around. right now im looking to build an amp but i dont know what i should make. ideas?
i cant find too much info on the sub but its 12" and it was originally 150 watts.

sorry if this should be in a different forum, ill go to the appropriate amp forum when i get an idea of what i need. im pretty new at this diy audio stuff, so dont overfill me with jargon 🙂

Get an amplifier with an RMS rating close to the RMS rating of the driver in question. Consider excursion also [winisd pro from linearteam.dk]
Plate amps are quite value for money.
Cheers!

Check out my website at www.apexjr.com
under the amplifier section and I would suggest
either the Apex "Junior" or the AudioFile VRS 1205
to use with the Infinity driver...
