Hello
I am looking for a Class D amp to run my tweeters...obviously the best situation would be tube or Class A but I leave my stuff on all the time and typically music is playing all the time for the dogs 🙂
Anyhoo...I was thinking Hypex or one of D'Audio's boards...CDA-224...
Now I do not like bright...I want smooth, grain-free treble...no harshness...
At the moment, I run a Virtue TWO.2 on my mid-bass unit...not sure if it would be up to where I want it when it comes to the treble region...
Can anyone add any insight?? I did some searches and basically empty threads!!!
Anything is appreciated...thanks!!!

I've been concerned about those cause I read a few threads where people found them bright...but that goes against what Tom says at Class D...

I read that someone thought the Class D (brand) were bright; I don't remember anyone saying that about IRS2092
Oh...am I getting those two mixed up?? Class D brand isn't based on that module??
I've read so much over the past week my eyes are buggy LOL!!!

Virtue Audio amps...
sideways: With a little work you can end up with the equivalent of the Sensation (soundwize), which is a great amp. And the same can be done to a 1.2, so you would end up with the equivalent of a "mini" Sensation M451.
This is what I tried with the Sensation, and it was what I consider a huge improvement. Drop the Power supply voltage. Either get a smaller power supply (maybe even a linear type if you have one). 12VDC at 3A or better.
