This https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-ps180-8-6-1-2-point-source-full-range-neo-driver--295-344 is one that did catch my eye.
That should work well with an 8 watt/channel amp. However, the reviews mention a bright top end and lean bottom end more than once. I've not heard one, so I can't say either way.
For the same price, you could pick up the Mark Audio Alpair 10-

Just my 2 cents. Either way, have fun!!! 🙂

I'm leaning pretty hard towards the Golden Ratios and the Mark 7 driver
It should fit my available space and the speakers are only about 3 feet away
In my opinion, that's a great way to go. As already mentioned, make sure you follow the manufacturer's recommended break in procedure.

Hard to argue against the A7.3 in almost any box - not sure if Dave has any kits for the Golden Ratio desk top design

I just got back from weighing it at the Post Office. Have to figure out the remaining details, and i can get Harry a shipping quote.

I have done a miniOnken for those. Est F10 kust above 60 Hz, f6 sbove 70 Hz.
I too have been concermed about the reports of top end that needs taming.

When I first looked at then I thought with a cross over they would
possibly be good for just the low end (but remember I'm still learning)
Not a single driver fr, but probably better for the type of music you're listening to.

I'm working on a 2-way with the Satori MW13P-8 and during measurements and initial listening, I realized this driver would make a great full range with no EQ necessary in the right circumstance. It produces unbelievable bass in my ported prototype box - 12" x 6.5" x 12" and has a very flat FR with rising response in the top octave. If used on a desktop, the need for BSC would be negated and the listener should be perfectly off axis to flatten out the rising top end.
I'm a multi-way guy through and through, so I have to add a tweeter up top, but I suspect some full-range guys will start using this gem pretty soon.
