Hi, I'm a newbe to building amplifiers and even electronics. I do it as a pass time hobby. I wanted to build a 40W amplifier and also a speaker box with a sub woofer and tweeters and so. I don't know weather it is true but a driver circuit is needed to make the sub woofer to work. I just need information and a circuit that best suits me to build one. And also basics of how to give the connections of the sub-woofer to the sterio amplifier

Yes, it is true; you need a seperate circuit for a subwoofer. If you do a Google search for DIY 2.1 amplifier kit you'll find plenty of options. This is only one- TDA2030A 2.1 Audio Power Amplifier Subwoofer Board Kit for DIY - Newegg.com

You can also buy them pre-built. There are plenty of options for speakers too. You can go with a typical 2 channel amp with a powered sub-woofer too.

What is your budget? Your location will also help.

At least as a starting point you can't go wrong with the factory's suggested circuit for the LM3886. It's on page 2 of the data sheet, which is here: http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/lm3886

Don't be frightened away by the data sheet! You don't need to know all that stuff, all you care about is the wiring diagram on page 2.

You'll get 40 watts with about a +/- 30 volt power supply. The circuit is the one suggested by the engineers who developed the LM3886 in the first place.

Probably the same data sheet is available in your first language. In your language google for:

data LM3886
