Thanks to lots of support from Elso I now have a successfully Kwak'ed Marantz CD67SE.

Here's the rest of my post!!!!

The kwak clock was the latest of four upgrades to my CD67SE. The first was LC Audio's AD8065 opamp upgrade. Second was the removal of the DC blocking electrolytics and the muting transistors. The third was some cabinet deadening rubber sheets.

As far as improvements go each step made a noticeable difference but it is the sum of all these steps that I am very happy with.

The opamp upgrade offers more detail, definition, and musicality. A definitely worthwhile mod.

The removal of the electrolytics and muting transistors unveiled the treble but also revealed the harshness of a budget-level player.

The cabinet deadening was done at the same time as the KC so any evaluation is not reasonable.

The Kwak clock did not make a monumental 'day and night' difference but added a whole list of subtle but very impressive virtues. The whole sound retains its detail but is smoothed out quite a bit. There is definitely more depth of soundstage. There is more of everthing good here. I could go on more but I think the almost unamimous support the KC receives in this forum speaks for itself.

Here is a pic of my CD67SE:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Regards,
Dan
