I was actually thinking of doing something like this, but I was unsure where I could find the best price per lumen on LEDs. What kind of deals have you guys gotten?
Also, how do you have your LEDs positioned? it would seem to me like they would tend to produce a bunch of 'hot spots' all over the place.

There are suposed to be a couple of projectors comming out next year that are run from leds, they are suposed to be cheeper too so its all good😉

Great job Flateric, very interesting looking projector. Can't wait for pics of the projector in action. I am considering building a small projector, I have a Sony 50" rp TV that is not working and hope the Delta lenses in the TV could work in building a small projector with an LCD out of a Hip Screen Pad (2.6" tft screen) only looking to project a small 50" picture for now. I'm slowly working up the courage to attempt the build. I have seen small projectors built by ACE 3000_1 and they look FANTASTIC, but a little too complicated for this newbie.

Their colour spectrum will not make a good movie. Look at their graph (70cri) Hope they are also working on real white not just brighter leds.

I noticed that flateric didn't have his email listed. We cannot email him and ask for pictures. Since people are much interested in this projector, we should ask our mod / admin to send him an email and remind him that he has an obligation to post result because he got all of us hooked 😉
