I want to build an isobaric encloser for 4 12" hifonics hfi12d4
The box per sub is 2 cubic ft ported
So my question is if i want to do an isobaric box for the 4 subs what size box would i need to build so i can run 4 subs isobaric
any help would greatly be appericatred

I installed one of these subs in my friends Passat.
Put it in a bass reflex enclosure that I built (2.5 cu ft tuned to 35Hz) and it slams off 200 watts. Smooth and slams the lows.
Per sub I would recommend between 2-2.5 cu ft tuned between 30-35Hz.

So for a pair of Isobaric drivers I'd recommend between 1-1.25 cubic feet net per driver tuned between 30-40Hz depending on your style of music

Thoose arent the right spec's for the subs sorry.
The sub calls for a 1.75 cubic ft box per sub.

If 1.75 ft^3 is appropriate for a single sub, then each isobarik pair would need to be in half of that for equivalent performance.
That's 0.875 ft^3 or what, about 1500 cubic inches?
Be sure to add in the speaker displacement, it gets significant for large woofers in such a small enclosure.

space is an issue. Also the speaker will work in a 1.25 cubic ft sealed encloser per sub. wondering if i do the 1.25 cubic ft per sub will it hit the low's or would a ported iso box work better
Ported is better...isobaric is fine...just take the size for two subs and cut that in half.
Only thing with isobaric ported enclosure is that the port will be very long for the proper amount of port area.

i decided to built the iso baric box. So if i build the box to around 1 cubic ft per sub should i be fine. they call for a 3" port 5" long in the 1.75 cubic ft box so if iso baric wondering anyone know what size the port should be any help would greatly be appericated
