This amp is a mono amplifier for a subwoofer rated 1000 watts in a 4 ohm load, 500 watts in a 8 ohm load. So is there any way to run two 4 ohm speakers and get more than 250 watts per channel (running two 4 ohm speakers in a series)????
Because the amplifier will not run 2 ohm load (two 4 ohm speakers wired parallel).

How much power will two 8ohm speakers wired parallel in a 4ohm load receive???

Hi,
connect an 8r0 load to an amplifier claiming to send a maximum of 500W into 8r0 and you will get a maximum of 500W.
Connect a second 8r0 load and the maximum amplifier output voltage will drop below that for a single 8r0 load. less drop = better output capability, (irrespective of what the dynamic overhead protagonists tell you).
Each 8r0 load should get 500W if the amplifier can meet it's specification of 1000W into 4r0 and 500W into 8r0.

What is much more likely from a conventional power amp is 1000W into 4r0 and 600W into 8r0.
 
Guys, I am considering to build dual RiPol dipole subs using 18" Pro drivers and Dayton HPSA1000-R sub amplifier that was discussed above.

Drivers are available in 8 Ohm and 4 Ohm versions. Would it be better to use two 4 Ohm drivers in series or two 8 Ohm drivers in parallel connection? My understanding is that dipole subs do not require a lot of power do drive them to the limit. In what case will be there better damping of the drivers?
