Sub woofers for Ariels

G’Day fellow DIYers,

I have built a pair of Lynn Olson’s Ariel speakers, and am quite happy with the results. I am now in the process of investigating a set of subwoofers to compliment them. Lynn recommends a setup described here:

My question is: has anybody built these subwoofers to compliment their Ariels? If so, what is your impression?

I listen to music 80% of the time, home theatre 20%. Main criteria is good music.

I cant help with sub options but i would love to here more about your speakers I am planing on building a pair myself where there any build problems how do they sound what are you driving them with and pictures would be nice.

Don't want to hyjack my own thread, so I will start a new thread on the construction of my Ariels to hopefully answer your questions.

I don't listen to the Ariel's anymore, they are currently my daughters HT mains; with Me-2's (Lynn's companion to the Ariel) for center and rears.

Woofers are Seas W26's in sealed enclosures of about 2 ft cu.... Linkwitz transform circuit evens it all out. Crossing over to the Ariels at around 120 Hz.

The Seas woofers are spectacular!
