Recently purchased a dtx sub to go with my pioneer EV51. I am using my computers Audigy output to my pioneer line in. I've discovered my low level sub output from my amp doesn't work with it for some reason. I've hooked my sub up to the line out instead, though now line in and line out won't work at the same time. ie. sub only works while playing cd/dvd.
Anyone know why my sub out won't work or how to fix the problem of line in/ line out not working at same time. If not would it be an idea to split my audigy output like 1 x stereo - 2 x stereo. I suppose this would halve the output power?

You should be able to split the output of your sound card to input to both the full range amps and the sub amp. You may want to pass the stereo output through a 2 resistor summing circuit before going into the sub amp. It hsould not affect the output levels so long as your resistors are at least aroung 1k. I hope I understand correctly what you are asking.

It gives a mono signal for a single subwoofer channel. It helps in case the bass is not equal in the stereo channels.
