Sub connection

It is very honorable to leave the signal as it is. In most cases. You can try to cross over without a cross over for the mid-high, but the result in almost any case will be worse that using a clean high pass. Protecting the Stereo speakers from low frequency will highly increase their performance up to the hights. If you only add a sub, which, if active, in most cases brings it's own low pass, you may find a phase adjustment. Together with this, the level, low pass and placement in the room, you should be able to find some combination that will work quite well.
Anyway, today the accepted way to get a perfect sub/sat combination is the use of a DSP. If you fear degrading sound quality, be sure that any music you are able to play on your gear will have seen more DSP stages and OP-amps than you can imagine.
As you use a pre-main amp combination, adding a DSP is very easy. The option to adjust your speakers to the room will in any case further improve your system. Adjusting may be a little time consuming, but more rewarding and less complicated than finding a good set up for a simple sub to your existing speakers.

Hi,

You could put a high input adapter on the poweramp (it wires right onto the same wires as your speakers on the terminals of the power amp) and then it will output a line level (low input) via RCA out to your active sub. Use the sub crossover to manage that.

Very best,
