I have these two audiobahns....They make a crackling noise at like -4 dB and I took em out of the box to see what was going on, there was no holes in the voice coils nor were the lead tinsels coming out or bad. The wires are all connected good...now when I push down on the sub and push out...there's a squeaking noise coming from the magnetic... I have yet to take it off, due to I don't know if that is the problem...The spider seems well attached and everything... I'm wondering if it's that tube in the middle...I honestly don't know...most subs I blow have holes in the voice coil.. One was doing it now they're both doing it... It's really frustrating because at -5 dB - -10 dB they don't even sound like they're blown.. They are currently wired at 1.5 ohms, I'm about to pull them out and wire them at 3 ohms to see if there is any difference, but before I do...Please throw some advice my way...* The amp is set at 5 dB and -4 dB is referred to my car stereo setting.

I should say that to me it sounds as if the voice coil is dragging or rubbing. If so the driver is damaged and cannot safely be used without amplifier damage.
