I never noticied any reference about the STUDIO amplifier
designed by Dr. Borivoje Jagodic, or simply Bora. Perhaps
I never tryied hard to look for these postings if there are any.
But the purpose of my conversation today is to underline
the quality of this design, as per this:
I made his Studio amplifier and Omni protection board, Studio is excellent amplifier, very nice sound and superb stability, it is my first diy amplifier, and I am very pleased, Thanks Bora!!!,
Vinko

Of course this contradicts what I said at the beginning but
it was taken from another posting out of the context.
What I'm triyng to say is the STUDIO is one of the few amplifiers
I have built that gives me the pleasure and satisfaction of an hi end device. It's very articulate and capable of revealing all
the goods and bads of a CD.
Bass response is excellent, mid range and treble smooth and
crisp but above all the sound stage is the most avident
caracteristic of the qualities of this amplifier.
I built one a few monts ago for a project being still under development, but I think I'm going to keep as it is, i.e. an
amplifier made to judge others, and I have a few, actually
too many...

Bora is a nice guy from Serbia - Yugoslávia
I had a look at his website.
Bora had some real original and interesting amplifier designs!
Right now this website is down.
I do not know if he has his schematics and stuff somewhere else ....

Hi Lineup
When I do a search on these foruns I always have difficulties,
don't know why may be the wording is not exactly what it should be, other times I search where I shouldn't, oh well...
Funny thing is I had a feeling that I had read something about
it long time ago that's why I did a search but with no avail.
The important thing is I wanted to express my opinion about the
STUDIO because of the satisfaction it gave me, so it is there!
Too bad Bora's web site is not up, as I wanted to explore his
other designs, at the time I visited it I was able to see the
other amplifiers but I didn't download them, except the Studio.
As I remember all those were very inovative....

UNIVERSAL-150
Evo i karakteristika:
> Izlazna snaga---------100-150W RMS/8 oma (zavisi od vrste i broja izl. fetova, kao i napajanja)
> Frekventni opseg-----14Hz-45KHz (pri 80% snage i izoblicenjima ispod 0.1%)
> THD-------------------<0.01% (20Hz-24KHz)
> TIM-------------------<0.008%
> Slew rate-------------43V/uS
> Damping faktor------->230
Below is Universal-150 schema.
Uses 2SK1058 2SJ162 lateral MOSFET.

Thanks Lineup for the links, actually the reason why I couldn't
find Dr. Jagodic's web pages is simple now hat I have the link,
I was missing the hifens between b-a-s.
However not all the pages on his site work very well. A few months ago I visited it and I had no problem, except for the
language, of course, serbian in impenetrable for me (Oh, I
wish I knew more languages), but all in all it's ok, I was able
to see something.
I'm going to write Bora and ask him to have his pages written
in english (good luck!)...he has more to do than that, he's
busy designing excellent amplifiers.....

Hello Lumanauw
I was afraid someone posed me that question, it is not easy
to describe, but I'll try:
Symssym, a little more forward, less relaxed but also very
detailed.
Studio, articulated, detailed oriented and less forgiven to
flaws in program material.
I listen to jazz most of the times through the Symasym although
for classic music I would prefer the Studio...
One thing they have in common is the magnificent soundstage
both exhibit, ity's like having the jazz ensemble or full orchestra
just in front of you, separation is perhaps a little better on the
Symasym.
Not easy to pick one to the other , both are excellent amplifiers,
and my choices of one type of music perhaps are kind of
subjective, but so far these are my preferences anyway.
Not very much else to tell you....

Why dont you ask dr. Borivoje for pcb......, kia-ora@blueisp.co.yu , Im positive shure that he will sent you....,
Studio amplifier
It's a very good idea to ask Dr. Jagodic, he's a nice person and
always willing to help.

Second is PCB for stereo version i.e. both channels are on the same board. Those of you willing to have separate boards should be able to do that easily. Note that this, as you see it, is "solder side view" of the board and real dimensions of the finished board are given along sides. If your PC and printer are adjusted properly, this file should print 1:1 i.e. real size!
