I got tired of my Squire tone knobs not doing much of anything, so I opened it up. From the diagram, it appears the two output wires to the tone pots come off the wrong terminals on the 5-way switch (or one of them is). The far right terminal (#1) is NC, but the diagram shows it going to tone pot T1. My strat has terminal #3 going to T1, and terminal #2 going to T2... Which is correct - diagram or my axe? Hope it's the diagram.... Other question is, I want to use the tone pots for bass and treble, for whatever pups are selected by the switch. Don't think I can use this 5-way (it has two outputs), unless I jumper them? Would that work? I will try to meter the switch to figure out how it works, but would have to probably unsolder it completely (which I'd prefer not to do!). Thanks!
