Strange request for a valve for a special job :-)

1. Unsolder the Original sockets.

2. Remove them, and save them where you will remember where they are.

3. Modify New sockets, and install them.

4. Reverse the order, install the Original sockets, and sell the amp.

That is probably better than having to cut the pins off 3 or 4 tubes until you get 2 tubes that still have a vacuum.

Socket savers finally arrived from Spain. They do indeed separate with one set screw so you can remove unwanted pins.

I hated the look of the indicator valves, and much happier with the look of the EC81 replacements. Other's opinions may vary :)

The photos aren't great, but you get the idea.
