FireFox's webtools says 1.5MB actually transferred in 1.5 seconds, 1MB/sec. That's a lot faster than dial-up. About what my first DSL did in mid-1990s?? My present line is lame but considerably faster than that. Too many small bits and pieces to get momentum. This is much less than my connection is capable of,
For free it is fine. Apparently faster in bulk than the dribs and drabs as the server builds a page.Is this good enough?
Here's mine, not to boast because I pay a not-tiny chunk of my small pension for this. It was 100Mbps in October; the 'free upgrade' was because another company is coming.

Apparently $85 a month! The bill is tricky because combined with TV service.
I am switching to the new company as fast as they can hook me up. It will be about the same price for about the same download speed, but 30X better uploads, and a DIFFERENT management attitude.
My Wifi here tops out at 480-500 Mbps
But I have never seen any real transfers download or upload anywhere close to that speed. As PRR says, too many small bits to pick up momentum.
Osvaldo your connection is not fast by today’s standards, but should be enough to easily browse this site and ones like it. Maybe the content isn’t stored close enough to you?

Again, I declare myself complete ignorant. This is why ask for help from who are skiled in this arts. I only programed some short Pascal and Qbasic programs for my only use, so imagine... As I said, Im a laboratory rat.
Yesterday I saw again some weird things. I saw repeated thread titles in the main page, with same author, and number of repplies. When I see it again, I will shoot the screen and post here.
My most sincere apologies if this problem is only mine and I am cause of useless and undesired preoccupations.

Here is again. Dupe thread titles. It happens after depresing the load more link but sometimes it is not necessary. Yesterday I wrongly reported an used for dupes titles until I discover the problem was mine. My apologies again for you and for him.

You know Osvaldo that you are such a stellar forum member that we give you more for your money! 😉
That list is seriously odd. I have no idea what is happening there. I’ve never seen that in my feed.

I'm going to say Osvaldo...
It looks like something unique to your set up. If others were seeing this we would have heard about it by now 🙂
Have you deleted all caches of temp files, both for your browser and the operating system.

I'm using Android Phone. How do I do such a thing? I restart it a couple of times a week to free unused memory.
I think this is an artefact of the forum software, I see this on the desktop browser, It appears as you scroll down the main page and reach the end and then press load more it loads the next number of posts but in the meantime additional posts have been added to the top of the list so it pushes a couple of the previous posts into the next lot of posts hence why it looks like you see multiple titles.
Exactly the same is what I see. But last times appears to be worse, as now there are two titles repeated, one of them marked to read as it appears underlined (the 3D printing...), while the "copy" appears normal view.
