Sorry if there is a gallery of old/vintage tube amps already - I made a new post since I could not find such a thread.
I came across this ancient amp yesterday.
The amp badge says "Basic 160". The tubes are are 3 x 6N1 and 3 x 6N2 and 8 x EL34. All Chinese tubes I found.
The transformers are pretty big!
Sorry for the blurry photos, but light was a big challenge and I took these snaps with my phone (no flash).
Anybody recognize this design?

Looks like two channels, probably stereo.
8 EL34s, would be four per output so Parallel Push Pull.
Nice find.

The thing to remember is that back in the day valve amps weren't considered things of beauty. They were either rack mounted (this one looks possibly rack mounted) or tucked away in a console. This was for aesthetic reasons as well as safety.
