Strain Gauge pickups

Strain Gauge pickup's

I have a win labs strain gauge cartrige from about 1980 or so
and 2 different power supplys. And back then Panisonick also
had a cheap (30$ or so)

My questions are would the 20 year old cartrige still sound ok!
Is the Panasonic strain gauge still available...

The Panasonic is long gone and much lamented. The older cartridges may be OK, but the suspensions and damping will most likely be shot.

The Win Labs were very nice. I had two of them. The trouble I had with them was they were VERY easy to damage. Generally cantilever failure as I remember. As Sy said age will have taken it's toll.
