STK4044 IC compatibility

Hi there, I am repairing a Grundig Fine Arts amplifier that has blown one channel. The amp is rated at 100W/channel and uses two STK4044-X IC chips. Whilst looking for replacements, I have seen an STK4044-V IC that I can get for under half the price. Will it work okay as a replacement? Ideally I should replace it with the exact type but I only have limited money to spend on the amp, on account of my car blowing its radiator 😡

I have found the datasheet for the series of chips (link is listed below) and it lists some data but I'm hoping there is someone who can look at the figures and better explain the difference between the two and how it may alter the performance of the amp etc. Thanks in advance for any help anyone may have to offer.

I will probably get an STK4044XI chip as the replacement, including post it works out at the same cost as the STK4044V but looks to be newer than the STk4044X that it will be replacing and also has a lower distortion figure. If there is a noticeable difference between the left and right channels then I'll just replace the other side too.
If anyone has any reason for me not to use the 4044XI chip then please do tell me.
