Hi

found on my fathers garge a vintage sanyo R5 Tuner+Amp.
one audio channel does not work so i guess the chip is dead.
the chip it uses is STK 461.

its not easy to find this chip as its old, ive tried Ebay and the only one that ships world wide costs 60$+

any idea where to find this part with better price (that ships worldwide)?
perhaps i can use a different chip that might be available localy?
does it even worth fixing?!

thanks

hi all
i have replaced loads of stk's since the suv2 and such amps went this way to simplify amplifiers, reworked a classic akai am-u1 and the kid blew the module by connecting 2 pairs of drivers and a mixed input into the aux or whatever, does anyone know of a pin compatible replacement or any 2nd hand working stock?
Pity as it was hid dads and is as new.

:att'n:A word of caution: the STK line is full of fakes in the market. Better is to buy from an authorized Sanyo seller or from well reputable/know seller.

Sometimes, if voltage/current/power permits, I use an monolithic IC from TDA line adapted to PCB with as short as possible connections (probably the bias in the STK461 differs from the necessary input bias to TDA and will need adjustment).
