We were approached by the movie company looking for the Threshold
gear, and fortunately were in possession of a pair of Stasis 1's in for
rebuild.

I know this picture for a long time not because of the Threshold gear but the Acoustat Three (I had the Acoustat 2 + 2 for 23 years).
I do regognize the Fet One (I've had that also with a S/300) but not the Stasis 1 in the picture (far left maybe?)

Question to Nelson:
Did you in fact supply the Threshold equipment as requested by Universal?
If so, was it visible in the movie Steve Jobs?

I didn't see the movie.

We did provide the Stasis 1's, of which 4 are back here for rebuild.

Great pictures!
And great that you still provide service to your old designs!
It's a real longtime investment for owners that bought Threshold gear from 1975 till 1991.


Just a rebuild or possible mods also?
Rephrase: Can customers still get any updates from Passlabs for their classic Thresholds? Suppose you want a PassLabs like frontendboard in your SA/1 and not just new electrolytics and transistors?

amount and nature of work (with parts) could easily lead to more greenies than needed for comparative brand new PL product

at least in my book .... working these days on venerable Hitachi HMA6500 , making proper amp of it ..... labor of love .... even if I'm now asking my self more often than not - am I too old for that .....

Maybe you can hire one for performing the updates or restaurations.
Especially owners of Stasis 1's, S/1000's or SA/1's would be quite happy to invest lots of money in there treasures if they can get a factory update supervised by the designer himself.
Add a signature of yourself in the front (engraved) and you have a signature version....
