Well I came up with these, I actually forgot I had them. So I guess to carry over from my last post, https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/motorola-stereo-console-speaker-repurpose.383101/ build a box maybe to the rough dimensions of the pictured speaker board, 18.5X11, depth??? and maybe use a pegboard back and stuff and unstuff with polyfiber(?) till it sounds absolutely fantastic. (LMAO)

Pictures from the front? Close up of the labels?
These look more interesting than the last ones.

Give me a sec, these were out of an old Fisher that the console had been stored in a shed and the cab was moldie.

I have had some of that brand thru here. They are better built than the others.
Front pics will tell something, particularily revealing for the tweeter/

Looks good. Almost surroundless mid seems a pre-cursor to the Nautilus mid.
2” tweeter?
Need to get a good idea of the T/S of the woofers to drag the most of them.
And the XO, if original, is likely rudimentary with caps & maybe Rs long past their expiry date.
If you like them now i expect they can be made to sound way better.
Tweak the drivers. Revisit the XO. Mount the drivers from the front ( this is going to be a big issue with the tweeter and mid), on a better baffle with better driver arrangment. Maximize woofer capibility with an appropriate enclosure.
Could be fun.

I wonder if the stick in the front of the woofer is there to kill a HF laser beam? Or just keep the kid from pushing the grill back to the cone and doing damage.
dave

Could be a beam blocker but I would bet a dollar to a donut it’s the latter.
MDF or Baltic birch and how thick? Got to finish the startup on this and buy some wood for head and speaker cab. I’ll build the speaker cabs for this at the same time. See if I can’t draw up the schematic for the XO and post it also.

More pics and info on speakers.
Woofer is 7" and looks like it has some sort of fabric cone. Done know what it is impregnated with but you can see the fabric weave.
Mid is 4.5 looks like paper
Tweeter is 2" paper
As far as the XO goes I drew out the schematic, the only thing I don't know about is the value of the inductor.
Impressions? Suggestions? Or just wing it............... 😛

Those drivers look to have significant potential.
The XO is almost) as simple as it can be. There could certainly be room for improvement, and the caps will be long past their expiry date. First thing to do is see where you are is swap the Cs out for modern film caps.
I would do a baffle that gets the drivers oriented as in the Yamaha NS1000. That tweeter looks to be a Prre;ess-like 2”. Those can be very good.

Thx Dave.
I have the caps on hand although I"ll have to parallel a 20 and 4.7 to get close to the 25 needed. Cheap audiophiler caps, and Dayton 3.3s. I have replacements for the carbon comp resistors.
Caps are bigger so I'll probably have to make up another board. We'll see.

Hey Dave or............
Went out and bought 3 sheets of 18MM BB today 😵, price has double since the last time I bought some. Oh well.
Anyway is 15mm 11 ply thick enough for the boxes I'm going to built for these speakers? I haven't really set down to try and figure out how big to build them but I assume (I know,I know) that they will need internal bracing. Remember that these will be used for a SE EL84 tube amp.
