Hence why I'm trying different enclosures I have at hand! Think a mixture of technical and listening tests will lead me to a decent enclosure design. Trial and error and patience.

Never heard of Helmholtz? Of Olson and Beranek? of B&K mics? Of real big anechoic chambers?
I had this swell chain-driven synchronized General Radio oscillator and paper-puller back then.
