Ciao,

I was having a look to jensen tranformers products and I noticed a couple of stepdown (4:1) input transformers. I can understand you will see at the input higher (16x) R and lower C, and both are beneficial assets, but the signal is slumped to 25%.

What are those transformers intended for???

PS Probably there is no connection but my mac suffered a system crash due to some HD problems suddenly after. Information Technology is not an exact science.

Yes, I'd think it would be good for interfacing a professional signal into a piece of domestic equipment. It would make the input impedance of the consumer equipment high (allowing bridging) and reduce the professional (sensible) levels to those that domestic kit can cope with. No, I'm not biased.
