They are starting to take shape.

I have all pieces cut and ready to glue into place. The tops and bottoms are not yet glued. I am waiting on full and felt, and something to go between the drivers and the box, as the drivers did not come with gaskets. I am tempted to try them out to see how they sound without damping.

If you hold your mouth right, the cutouts of the sides is close to being able to be resized for the bottom. And I found that the birch veneer on this plywood is not much thicker than paper.

It is nice to see those old tools in use.

I had same thin veneer. I put another two layers (one each side, its kinda rule in veneering to prevent wood from bending) of normal thickness veneer so I can sand it.
I also had more furniture approach, all parts was varnished before gluing

1/2" Felt

McMaster Carr sells 1/2" felt in various widths, lengths % densities of wool felt
McMaster-Carr That's what I have used in my speaker builds. They ship promptly with not too much of a wait. Buy lots of sharp razor blades. Said the recently retired carpenter " at least I still have all my toes"
