Not faked, you're just seeing the interaction of framerate with a vibrating source.

Some car subwoofer videos on YouTube are brilliant for that - the camera reads top to bottom, so the cone appears to be made of jelly as the speaker's oscillation is comparable to the scan rate, so the cone appears to have different displacement according to its vertical position on the screen.

Yes, take video of a moving car with segmented wheels. You will see apparent stop motion, stuttering, and even reverse rotation, depending on vehicle speed.

There are some rather cool slow motion videos shot with very high frame rates of bass guitar strings on Youtube somewhere. You can see the different harmonics interacting, and the separate rotational motion of the strings.
